  4. arrow or a dot or a number which ever it will have one on there and it will be to one side if the piston have a look the next time you have a two stroke piston in your hand marko
  5. silly question but.... i take it you did have the arrow/indicator mark on the top of the piston facing the exhaust port yes ? this is as with ALL two stroke engines cheers marko
  6. dont forget the flymecc carbon entry model which comes complete with the learner pilot hub attachment to save those all soooo delicate props and a two year no qwibles warranty ive put 160 hrs on mine since feb and have had no probs at all baring a spark plug [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]
  7. so the flymecc mini trike combo doesnt need a nppl ? cause it can be foot launched i have one of these rigs if anybody would like to try one out gime me a ping marko
  8. were all just pikeys at hart ! cant stay away from the smell of a good bonfire and a campervan
  9. just thought i would warn you all about the crappy self harming G6 paramotor, my friend and i were doing a lovley xc on saturday at around 4000ft above the clouds {sweet} after been in the sky for about an hour we decided to head back to base. i was testing a new jojo instinct wing out which might i add was fantastic ! anyway the jojo was much faster than my friends wing so i reached the LZ about five mins before him, i had just moved my gear out of the way and removed my headset when i heard him buzzing along. litrially right above the lz there was a loud pop and his motor stopped dead he neadless to say managed to land with both pilot and machine ok. so after humping the machine back to the motorhome we began our investigation. and there it was a hole the size of a tweenty pence piece in the top of the piston ! now you may all be thinking ahh thats been maybe running too lean, but no you would be wrong now this has happened before and again the piston got holed {£100 a pop} and on closer inspection we suspected the settings on the carb were slightly out, but NO they were right as per book and looking at the tell tale of the spark plug it was a nice coffee colour, so now your thinking wrong or cheap oil. NO you would be wrong again, its run on power 1 by castrol and has done from new now the first time it happened he managed to get around 2hrs out of it before it blew and cost him the fat end of £130 this time he has managed 5hrs woooopie !!! needless to say hes a little peeved off now having to fork out more of his hard earned £££'s on repairing it, so i decided to have a dig around on google and the net to see if anyone else has had this problem. WELL WELL WELL ! now there's a surprise NOT ! turns out there's loads of people all complaining of the same issue {holed pistons after little use} and before you say what about the dealer support dont as its none existing, im not metioning dealer names but he lives in the east yorkshire area well i suppose the moral of the story is you get what you pay for but just wanted warn other newbie pilots that are on a tight budget to avoid these terrible machines like the plague of course this is just my humble opinion and there maybe some lucky g6 pilots that have managed to muster up over 10hrs on there machines and if there are how have you managed it ? so i can pass the info on to my friend. any positive input/advise to the issue of the phantom piston holier will be greatly received. marko
  10. theres a lot of "i think" and "maybe" going on but no definitive answer of YES or NO if it is a loop hole in the law of trikes then why attack it or the seller ? surely it opens the paramotoring world up to others that would not normally be able bodied enough to perhaps land heavy or fast. and if they say that theres a video and letter why ridicule it ? a little childish and bitchy i think. it makes me laugh when people put the caa link on a thread like they know whats printed on all the masses of pages i personally know two pilots that would love a trike that you can foot launch and then land on wheels due to them having previous knee injury's that cannot sustain any type of heavy impact without been in pain for the rest of the day. and as simon once said "wise words from my farther" most people attack things because they don't understand or are afraid of them
  11. had another look and yep thats defo a flymecc mini trike {mk1} with the carbon 100 lc clipped to the back, but what i was asking is if its still a foot launch if you can launch from the feet with it on your back ?
  12. foot lauched trike therfore not regulated ? i though that if you can prove that you can take off with your feet all is good as its still comes under ppg {fla} and in the book of definitive wisdom it states you cant take off with wheels but you can land with them ? im confused [youtubevideo]foot launch paratrike Gofly Revolution Paratrike Quixo sky 100[/youtubevideo]
  13. great advice simon, farther knows best ! regards would i buy one ? yes i would. a no hassle user friendly wing has got to be worth the money. and how does it compair to my lovley dakota sport hhmmmm a hard one that. i would have to say the dakota is a pedigree wing thats manufactured by one of the fore farthers in paragliding as a sport and wing design + manufacture. when i tested the k2 i flew my dakota then clipped straight into the brand new k2 and although over the weight range it seemed to have a little more lift strangely ? it felt snappier in the turns but less forgiving in the spirals and on really heavy wing overs i felt the brakes go light a couple of times. you do NOT of course get any of this with the dakota sport. it feels absolutely 100 percent 100 percent of the time no matter what you throw at it, but that said its has got a lot more pedigree. i like flying other wings just to remind me just how good my trusty old itv is with its 300hrs on it it still feels like an old friend and i cant help but smile when i drag it out of its bag for another adventure in the skys ! on another note i have just purchased a jojo instinct £1800 which i will do a review on as soon as i get the chance to give it some stick and let you know what my findings were. there the right money but are they the right wing. i'll soon find out ! thanks marko
  14. hey a friend of mine bought and flys the k2 and i pinched it from him for an hour. i gave it some right stick a real good leathering and fully enjoyed every minute of the flight, it is very responsive wing thats stupidly easy to launch. you give it a hand full and it begs for more with out shooting clean over your head and collapsing, i would recommend one to anyone, easy to use and safe to fly, yes there a little slow on the guide line rates and i was a little over that, well actually a lot over that, about 35kgs but i didnt have to run any harder or land any faster than when on any other wing ive flown and the climb rate was good. in my eyes it takes out the hassle of another thing to worry about weather or not your wings in the correct position before applying power because with the k2 its always in the right place to power on ! p.s i dont work for dell, i fly a dakota sport and of course this is just my humble opinion but i HAVE flown one which allows me to do so mj
  15. hi im just outside hull give me a call if you would like to come and have a fly/look at my machine your more than welcome cheers mj
  16. please see parafly forum for your answer
  17. hi all, i too own and fly the flymecc carbon 100lc i have logged around 130+ hrs on it and have had not one fault or any problems with it, i drag it out the back of the car [were it lives] prime it up and after the first if not defo the second pull shes fires up !i leave it ticking over while i build the cage up which takes around 2-3 mins then turn it off and fit the prop shes then all warmed up and ready to go flying, i sit in the harness clip in and stand up{all on my own} grab the pull starter and away she goes, its very very easy to start on your back. it also looks fantastic and is great on fuel, ive had/flown lots of other paramotors in the past [paps airfer parajets monster] but cant deny that the flymecc beats the all hands down, ohh and another thing there quiet. i originally bought mine with the three piece prop on it [pro version]but after saving up and hiding money from the missus [£200] i bought the two piece carbon prop the two piece i would say is the one to go for they run around a 1000rpm lower than the three peice so you get better fuel economy i get around 4 hrs on the two piece out of 12ltrs of fuel on my kinetik wing, but then again i am 17 stone and at the max on the flymecc so would of thought you would prob get more if your a little lighter ! tooo many bacon baps in the past ! i also found the dealers to be very very helpful and waited a little over three weeks from order to delivery for mine, regards parts, i carried out the 100hr service {spark plug, fluid change, filter element} and found the delivery of the parts times to be around two weeks from placing the order to delivery on my door step thats to say that if yorkshire paramotors have not got them in stock then of course it would be a lot quicker. as much as i love my flymecc and the way it compacts down so small i will be sadly selling her shortly as i know flymecc have just released a newer version so have pre booked mine already ! {if anybodys interested i want £3250 for it, its the pro version and cost me £4395 and is in great condition} re location of dealers i know that the yorkshire paramotors guy have two collection outlets one near hull and another near leeds so you should be close or one or the other if you need them and they always answer you phone calls or emails promptly ! which is great if your a little compulsive like me and need answers straight away so... to sumerise a great little paramotor which is bomb proof reliable with good dealer and factory back up not forgetting the 2 years no qwible warranty {piece of mind} very very comfy harness like alan says, easy to walk with, light and quiet and not to forget they have to be the best looking paramotor out there if you would like to have a go/look at mine let me know, i know you will be pleasantly surprised. i was but also i know the guys at Yorkshire paramotors do a try before you buy so maybe give them a call mj
