Cessna
Hi Hoping to start my training this summer, due to budget limitations I will have to start with 2nd hand equipment, but like the idea of Bailey 4 strokes, is there any particualr model to avoid? I'm around 90-95 kg Cheers Cessna
pete_b
Try before you buy....... some of the early ones did not have a great deal of power= loooong take off in nil wind and very slow climb out.
ptwizz
A statistical sample of 1: I'm also about 90kg ready to fly, plus 35kg of Bailey 175 (an early one, but upgraded with later crankshaft). With a fairly large wing, I have no problem with nil wind launches and climb rate is quite adequate (I estimate 200 to 250 ft/min from data logged on Gaggle) As with any piece of kit, try the actual one you're considering before you buy.
