Steve
I have seen a few versions of this in my news feed but the latest one mentions an engine so it sounds like a paramotor accident: http://www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk/54-ye ... story.html
Richwill15
The first (and only) comment is interesting. It infers that a powered paraglider is not as safe as an unpowered one.
Trickyh
Also a propellor is mentioned ..... so could be Quote ''It is understood he will undergo skin graft surgery after one of the propellers cut the back of his head.'' I wonder if he was wearing a helmet?

He says hang glider which makes you wonder if he has no idea what he's talking about or if he just didn't read the article.
norbertflyer
I cant help thinking that he wasn't wearing a lid. A lesson for us all and hopefully to the guys who think they're 'cool' flying without a helmet in their public videos. Hope he mends quickly without long term issues. Richard Paragliders are categorised by the FAI as class 3 hang gliders.
Farmer_Dave
Very nasty. Not too far from me either. Might be worth remembering that if you can push your protective netting back into the prop (when not running) it's potentially an "unguarded prop" when it's spinning. Revobuzz
I would never dream of flying without a helmet. Why would you?
