togsie
It's a development board for a programmable device. The smaller boards are plug in I/O devices (input/output). So for example you could connect the Pot and write a program to light the LED's depending on it's position. The serial cable is used to download the program to the device from a PC (or it might even work on a Mac ) Lots of fun. I don't know which devices it supports but the ATMEL range used to be very popular. What are you up to now Simon?
Trickyh
I'd put money on some sort of digital cockpit (if his last invention is anything to go by....) Multiple sensors (Fuel, Revs, CHT, ExT Altitude(!) etc) on an easy to read display with simple push button scrolling But then i've been wrong before Rich
