marky_mark Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 Hi neilzy, What's the essex flyin. Is this the event on the A12 or in Braintree? Yes, it's a taster lesson I'm after. Do you have dates available for dual flight tasters? marky_mark Quote

oilyrag Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 That would be me, flying from my field on the Essex/Suffolk border next to the A12. Mark Quote
simon101 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Simon, how do training schools get round this? Would you sign someone up for a days instruction and take them up tandem as an instructional aid? Simon Quote
Guest Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Yes, The only legal way of doing it is for the P2 to be 'under instruction' under the umbrella of a club or association. The P2 must also be a member of that club. The BHPA sell a days membership and 'training' if you want a 'paragliding' tandem flight. This is entirely legal of course. SW Quote
edwardc Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Same thing in the skydiving world Simon. You have to be a member of the BPA and be under training to do a tandem or static line jump so they issue weekend memberships. There is always a way to 'use' the rules. Eddie Quote
custom-vince Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Hi Mark give me a call, Vince 07932 373570. Also on the Essex/Suffolk border. Sible Hedingham. I can set you up. Essex Fly in will be a good intro. There should be instructors there. Training is available with Alex, Braintree. Quote
