I think it's a pointless idea.

Any paramotor can be used as a take off device and then turned off. The justification is drag reduction.

Not sure if that stops at the lack of a cage, maybe your arms, face, shoulder as well. Thus further reducing drag and all up weight.

Imagine loose lines during that flight! :shock::shock::shock::acro:

My advice based on purely this picture. LEAVE WELL ALONE.

It also looks VERY high hang point, which in my limited experience of high hang point units, are 100% crap for thermal flying due to the lack of weight shift and feel.

Heavy brakes will be needed for turning, thus wiping out any gain from low drag.
