gordon_dunn
Was doing my regular carb clean on Friday and noticed something funny. Usually on the small secondary filter you find the odd bit of dirt or fibre from the forecourt pump filters... but upon closer inspection there was a fine grey sludge lining the filter. I've been doing a fair bit of flying over the last month- could it possibly have been volcanic ash? Anyone else noticed this??? During the airspace closures there were fine deposits of ash on parked cars here.. not all volcanic ash, also some from local gorse fires... fanman
Have you been using the same 2 stroke oil all the time? I have heard of this when people mix different oil types.
