alan_k
I have a problem with the mornings. Often the weather is perfect apart from the grass is very wet because of the dew. I don't like getting the wing wet, the old wing refused to inflate properly in nil wind when it was wet. I have also slipped once attempting take off on wet grass and damaged the prop tips. I haven't tried a wet grass take off with the new wing, has anybody got any tips or suggestions Apart from wait till the evening Cheers, Alan
Phil_P
Use your time warming up the engine to at least partially blow dry the area that you are going to lay the wing out on. It's surprising how much dew a full throttle blast will dissipate. Phil
gordon_dunn
Even knocking the windsock pole over the grass will help knock off most of the water droplets- a 6m or an 8m pole will cover a large area quickly. Apart from that- take time to lay out the wing right- under these conditions you really only get one chance. gd
alan_k
Thanks chaps, I hadn't thought or heard about using the windsock pole for this, cheers GD. Alan
huffhuff
Could you use a large groundsheet or tarpaulin? Ben
