ollystrous
I'm really interested in getting involved with paramotoring but don't really know where to start? Is there anywhere near London that can help? I have an SEP JAA PPL (Private Pilots Licence) flying light aircraft from Denham and think the skills are fairly transferable, but need a bit of advice. Any help appreciated, Thanks! Olly
jonnorton
Hello Olly, I am sure you have by now had a look at this and other forums. I am in Ruislip, so just a short drive from Denham. There are a few places you can get training, but most will be the best part of an hours drive or so. Where are you based? I have been travelling down to Lambourne, near Swindon, takes about 1 hour 15 mins on a good day. Not a massive problem but if you can find somewhere nearer you may find you get through your training quicker, depends on how much spare time you've got. I reckon you would normally have had a reply from Simon Westmore by now but he is of playing until March (I think) Good luck Cheers Jon
frazer1981
Hi Olly I am in stevenage so not evry far from you. You are looking at the same travel wise to aloconbury as it is to lambourne. I would recommend lambourne but thats just me?!
ollystrous
Hi Guys, Thanks for your posts. Evidently from how long it has taken me to reply to this, i haven't got a massive amount of free time, but if its as good as it looks i'd make the effort. How can i get involved in Lambourne? Thanks, Olly

dantheman
Main thing is to keep an eye on the weather forecast, if it's looking promising then we will trying to arrange time to be there. Low winds (under 12mph) and clear of weather fronts is always a good start.....
