admin (Simon W)
I am interested in purchasing a flight MotoMonitor for for the purpose of cross checking RPM and to monitor CHT and EGT on my vintage Tiger Moth. Its size and remote monitoring means I can hide it in a suitable spot without looking out of place in an 80 year old aircraft. 1) Importantly will it work to give an accurate rpm on my motor which is a 4 cylinder 4 stroke Gypsy Major that uses Slick magnetos? 2) How can I purchase one for delivery to my address in Adelaide Australia? 3) How much will it cost in Australian dollars? 4) Are there any options that I should know about when purchasing this unit? I look forward to your advise and if this proves to be suitable for my use there may be a number of my flying colleagues that would be very interested in this device. Lee Jackson
I'll field this one, I think I'm qualified... he's going to need to fly the tiger around the earth to my field for evaluation though! He may need to leave it with me for a month or so. Then I can ensure it's all working as it should. We'll talk cost once I can see where I have to fit it. You're welcome!
