  1. Tried it yesterday it was fast! The only issue I have is that the trim keeps slipping i.e. the buckle isn't gripping it. I have been on the Paramania web site and I've asked them to send me stronger springs. Alan
  2. Ok, I'll send you a PM with the address to send it to. Alan
  3. No problem. To save time can you PDF it and e-mail it to me Alan
  4. If that is the case then I can't get the trim to go to slow as the guide bracket bottoms not allowing any more trim to be pulled before the slow section reaches the holding bar. Is my trim set up incorrectly? Alan
  5. This may seem like a basic question but I'm getting different answers from different people I ask. I have a new revo with the trim position indicator stitched on to the riser with a buckle that limits the travel of the trim. However what I am having difficulty finding out is where to set the trim indicator line to. For instance, in the photo below I though this was set to the take off trim position but other people seem to think that the white indicator line should be against the locking buckle to set the correct trim. Which way is it? http://paramotorclub.org/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=589 Alan
  6. Thanks guys that's very kind. I'm on holiday from the 17th Aug to the 7th Sep. I have to visit family but hope to make time to come to visit. Best Regards Alan
  7. I'm at home in Lytham St Anne's for holidays but unfortunately don't have any equipment in the UK yet! When I do it would be nice to get together to fly as you are only just up the road. Alan
  8. Awod, nice to see you on at last. See you tomorrow. Alan
  9. I'm not sure of the regulations for air transportation but they can either travel with you as baggage or they can be sent in advance as air cargo. The club will arrange customs clearance. Unfortunately we don't have parajets here but I have a spare tank for a PAP (new style) that could be used and the club use HE and they have tanks for those. Batteries shouldn't be an issue to obtain here as long as they are not special to type. I do fancy the idea though of getting a second hand parajet! I'm trying to get prices for flights and I'm going to talk to BMI to see if we can get a package deal. We are also trying to ensure that the only cost to yourselves will be the international ticket element and the cost to get your equipment here. The internal flights, accommodation, food etc should all be free. So as long as you can spare the time there should not be any cost difference but even if you can only make it for 7 days it should be worth it. I'll keep this post updated with the latest info. Alan

  11. That sort of thing could make you go blind!
  12. Some Video of the guys paragliding in the dunes made by Mohamed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGdYTMytSC4 Jeddah trip 2008 made by Awod Some Paramotoring video taken at various locations in Saudi made by Mohamed This is Mohamed, he is a great bloke. Really funny, a great cook and an excellent Paramotor pilot. Made by Mohamed (Not the same one as in the video)
  13. Just got back from NOT flying. The wind was high and the temperature was 47C. You would need to be connected to the ground with a hose pipe to stay hydrated while flying! it is 22:15 and the temperature is still 39C. To hot to fly.
  14. I've got a Micro Avionics headset and would like a connector for my Nokia N82. Where can I get one? I've got the connector for the headset which has the remote PTT and Stereo jack connected to it. Alan
  15. We have looked at dates and mid Jan would seem to be the best time but we are flexible on this and if you would prefer another date let me know so we can come up with dates that are acceptable to everyone interested in coming. For those that wish to come to the fly in we need two passport photographs and copy of your passport valid for the time of travel and I will also need a list of equipment you intend to bring so the club can get a letter raised to ensure no problem with customs. I've been asked to cap the numbers at 6 max but if there are one or two more I'm sure we can accommodate. I'll send a PM to those that have already shown interest with my address in UK to send your details to. If there is anyone else interested please let me know soonest so we can finalise the paperwork. Alan P.S. I would respectfully ask that there are no time wasters as the work involved in dealing with the authorities here is significant and any changes to the list of people coming once finalised will be difficult.
  16. Many thanks. I'll get the hang of this one day!
  17. I've placed the video on youtube Not sure if this will work but here goes
  18. No problem, I don't mind travelling down to you at all. If I can't make it on my next business trip, I'm on holiday during the last three weeks in August so will definitely make it then if that is OK with you. Alan
  19. The A10 is a work of art. I've posted a picture of the cockpit in the album. I also have some video of it flying but not sure how to share it. Alan
  20. Will do. I am normally at Warton in the Preston area but I'll try to get down to you. Alan
  21. I have checked with the loft and they charge £25 per hour and estimate about £100 to replace the panel but cannot give a better estimate until they have seen the wing. Aerofix are quoting between £100 & £120 and can probably turn it around in a week if they have the material but again need to see the wing to confirm the estimate. There doesn't seem to be much to choose between the two companies. I will bring the wing to the UK on my next business trip and send to one of them but not sure which yet! Alan
  22. I've put more pics in the album. http://paramotorclub.org/forum/album_pe ... ser_id=381
  23. A Saudi friend of mine has an Action GT wing that he as managed to tear. The tear is in the bottom of the wing in the third (from memory) panel from the wing tip and stretches perpendicular from the leading edge (the leading edge beading is still intact) to near the trailing edge. The tear is in the centre of the panel and not on a seam. I've spoken to paramania and they say they will need the wing returned to China for repair. Is there anywhere in the UK that could carry out a repair on this wing without it having to be sent to China? It looks to me as if the panel will need to be completely replaced. Alan
  24. I've posted two new ones in my album but I'll get some more this weekend.
