  2. Hi all I am struggling to get my PAP ROS 125 to hang properly. It is hanging back a little on landing making things a little more difficult than maybe things should be. The PAP fly's well but pulls back a little too much on landing nil power. I have done some limited hang tests on a basic beam in the garden but due to the space struggle really to get a best results. Being a stocky build with short legs well that's the polite description 1. Could it be literally that the bulk of my body weight it in my upper body and therefore this weight behind the Riser connection point ? I have dropped the recommended hang point connection point back one position to make it a little better. 2. Do you think having the reserve up high behind the head (PAP reserve container) could effect the hang angle ? 3. Although I have had the legs straps loose enough to get a flat hand behind the strap when buckled up. Could it be the legs straps are a little tight and restricting me getting far enough forward out of seat ? If anyone has or have had a PAP ROS 125 that might be in a position to advise . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Geoff
  3. Hi All I was wondering if anyone knows how the Alpha 5 is with a motor. I trained on advance wing. I appreciate the Alpha is a slow wing compared to reflex wing. I purchased the wing as it would be stable and have a reasonable take off and landing speed. I wanted to enter the sport and a level that suited my new pilot skill level and on a budget. I would have maybe liked to have gone for a reflex but budget at that point did not allow. If anyone has had experience with the Alpha 5 would be great to get some info on its characteristics. Needless to say I have not had a chance to fly the wing myself now fully kitted just waiting for weather to allow. Any advice always appreciated. Papster
  4. May be of interest to other new pilots who want a opportunity to have a holiday that is all about paramotoring. I came across a post on ebay from the training centre where I trained. Whilst training I always thought that it would be amazing to fly in Morocco after traveling there on my motorcycle for two weeks the place is amazing. Check it out http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Week-Paramo ... 3387a3d858 This is an amazing opportunity to visit and fly in Morocco .
  5. Hi As a newbie just qualified all I can say is go for it. I went down the BHPA route only because the school closest to me was BHPA which route you choose is 50 / 50 as long as the training you get is good quality fun and safe. As for time of year OK the sport is very weather orientated but you will get there. Reference kit there are some many variables listen to your instructor and experienced pilots but every individual has a different view of what they wish to get out of sport so setups can vary. I have purchsed some second hand good quality gear but only towards the end of my training so to be sure the sport is for me. Once I have gained some experience I hope to buy newer higher tech gear but we all have to start somewhere. good luck from another newbie regards Geoff
