  1. 12 days since end of china holidays - still no word, not a sausage..may arrive tomorrow, may arrive in 2 months..nobody knows..not even the dealer..
  2. Happy Days! 2 flights in 2 days over Bolberry Down and this is Ermington field.. Now I need to get some decent photos and vid..if this weather could just stick for a while.. oh yeah and if that flippin Revo2 arrives one day.. Thanks Steve
  3. Ah right.. Will try that..is spek plug buggered? In a field, no compressed air...got a tissue though
  4. Just taken off the spark plug and waiting for cylinder to dry out...how long though?
  5. Okay, i have a parajet volutio2 macro. Started for the first time yesterday just fine. This morning i think i flooded it as it started so well on choke that it turned over 4 times before i could kill it. So now its dripping from the exhaust. I ha ve yried turning the prop manually 10 times. Still no start. Is there anything i can do or am i buggered for the morning?
  6. Sorry, another newb question whilst sitting here at my ermington launch, breeze from the opposite direction forcast. Just wanted to ask, do you tend to leave unused fuel in your tanks or do you siphon it out into a cannister particularly when you ave no idea when the. Next flight will be? How long is mixed fuel usable? Had an awesome flight yesterday around Bolberry Down...just cant get enough
  7. Morgy, Since I first saw your vid I sometimes have it in the background when I'm working as a direct link looping on my browser at full screen. It's very relaxing (I have the music off and my own music playing). I do get sympathetic achey arms after a while though . Dave is getting a Revo2, I have one and I doubt we could fly it with speedbar like that as you need trimmers right out before applying the bar and we have no steering input from the brakes then (only WTS). I'm only guessing though as I fly low usually on neutral (for the Revo) and use brakes. good point stevie like you say perhaps just trim in a bit from neutral and use brakes with bar - will need to do some higher altitude testing before crankin it low - however I will soon be using my Zion19 and see how that goes - no speedbar on there at all, just trims but I can put it on full slow to start - plenty agile enough even then.
  8. great replies everyone, interesting thoughts..thanks I come from speedflying, so used to flying a 13m, 17m and 19m wings. I would like to fly very low (like slalom) but 1. in a clear area away from anyone else and 2. after Ive got more hours in as suggested. Guess Ill want to mix n match, some high some low - Id love to get to 10,000...and more one day!! BTW - Morgy that was one epic video - very inspirational for me!
  9. 1. If you take a look at the latest paramotor magazine, nearly all the flights are at max 500ft and many well below that. Just wondered what height you generally fly at? Do you alwa ys default to heght first? Or just as you feel like it? 2. Whats the maximum wind you would consider flying in..if ypu ad a 19 aswell in your quiver..
  10. looks great are you selling this one? I guess youve got it on a tow bar - something Ill have to get I suppose... I have a parajet volution2 macro
  11. still looking for some type of rack that will fit a T5 (VW transporter with barn doors rather than up and over) anyone fitted one and got pics?
  12. The shame about Parajet is that they do not supply prop or frame bags as standard. Ive dropped my frame 3 times now chipped it and I haven't even started the motor for the first time...such lousy weather! Where can I get such bags at a reasonable price or is there something that is not made for it but suits fine?? Thanks for any help david
  13. means the motor has to lie at an angle on its back - about 40 degr from hoizontal. Its a parajet with the fuel cap nicely situated at the centre top. However should there be fuel in the tank and in the motor - is that a bad way to keep the motor overnight? can it flood the engine? Its the only way it fits into my T5 fulley set up. Only my lazy arse..but if you expect to fly 2 days in a row.. I can hoist it up further with strapping is necessary Thanks for any help
  14. The official Paramania colour scheme (Standard production colours in stock & availible immediately) This is what Paramania say on there website. In fact, after paying in full, I ordered a Revo2 on 25th September...was told it would arrive in around a week 10 days (as says above, available immediately)..in fact they have no stock, the next batch is coming from China...on the 9th October. Could manufacturers please be truthful and update their websites. My patience switch has been turned back on...
  15. What? You mean no one here has the button? Who'sgot the button? I thought paramotorclub was the centre of the universe?!
  16. yes beacons reservoir we call 'The face' is a favourite, perfect pitch. There are at least 3 or 4 ppgers around the area. You should go on facebook group - scumdog paramotor group - youll find them there and a couple are members of SWWSC (South West Wales Soaring Club) which I happen to be a member of (Im from South Devon) cos they run one of the best soaring sites in Europe - Rhossili .
  17. Funny you should mention that... Paramotoring round here died a death couple years ago after complaints from RC flyers. However, with me starting up this sport and the natural passion I have and Malin Lobb's expertise we are starting to open up our area. From no take off sites to 4 just now and more to come. Today I completed a job for free for a farmer I know (I fixed his merc bodywork). He has already given me a peach field to launch from and has now given me 5 other farmer contacts and said they'll be fine (just mention his name, he's very well known in the area). Thing is here's the tip: apparently farmers are very keen to get photos of their fields from on high - they can spot things they need to know - not sure what...how the crop is growing, field texture...whatever, its something i will offer to all the farmers and will only be too happy to fly over any field they want and take pics!! BTW Stevie - I come up to brecon quite regularly to speedfly - would love to join you PPG one day...
