  1. Do any other engine manufacturers adopt a version of the flash starter and if so have any had problems? If other engines have a manual type starter is kickback a common problem or have Polini managed to produce two different types of starters which are inherently flawed. How can it be that you don't hear of issues on other engines?
  2. He would not speak to the media because they are all liars, this from a man that claims to have had a severed human head used against him as a weapon.

    Cameleon

I could be interested in the one for sale and will PM you if I decide to make an offer. For anyone who has already used one, do you have to adopt a different way of holding the brake toggle in order to prevent it from hitting the kill switch accidently ?

Does the link posted in a previous reply to this topic as to where to get the cameleon v2 from, remain as the best option. It was stating http://mycameleon.fr/shop/
  5. I have the Thor 100 on a Parajet V2 frame but have not yet encountered this problem, maybe due to it only having 15 hours on it. Hearing about this has had me considering changing to the manual starter. I do also dislike the long pull required on the flash starter and would be interested to know how this compares to the manual version.
  6. If you are still looking for helpers I would be willing to come along and assist.
  7. Really impressed with how he managed to time the glide and land in the centre of the field. Would an easier way to ensure you land in the intended spot be to get over the landing field early and descend in a figure of eight pattern, then straighten out and land at the right altitude?
  8. Can anyone tell me what the best online resource there is for determining the wind forecast at flight levels and not just the surface wind.
  9. Hi Phil, My mix ratio is 50:1 and the fuel burn rate seems to be roughly what Parajet estimate although I haven't made any accurate calculations for fuel usage yet. Parajet did say it should improve with time but I wanted to find out from other owners if this is the case or whether they had to make any adjustments. It sounds as if yours has improved which is good to know.
  10. Hi all. I find that my Thor 100 engine with Walbro carb is running too rich and always has, it still has only about 9 hours on it and I have heard that somehow they run better after 10 hours or so. I have already peppered the underside of my wing with oil spots on one occasion and am keen to prevent it from occuring again. The manual states that the standard calibration of the mixture screw is one and a quarter turns out. For anyone on the forum that has this engine, have they had to adjust the mixture for the same reason and if so how did they find the best position. Also due to the position of the screws I cannot get access to them with the engine running.
  11. Who is your home insurance with? I tried contacting about ten home insurance providers and upon describing what the equipment was, none of them would offer any kind of cover.
  12. Hi I live in Wincanton and have a bit more training to do but would interested in flying with you some time.
