Yea as you said the tide was well out at five oclock last night but was very boggy and no one was flying so anyone thinking of going out there thinking they are going to fly at low tide ay gona happen .check tide hights first .cheers on that Paul,cant wait to catch up with a few of the lads ,looks a good place to practice winging it .B&B reserch about to commence.
  2. Anybody thinking of ppg off Formby or Heysham beach tomorrow,i have checked NOTAMS would rather meet up with regular flyer for a final brief to what should be a smooth days flying, and maybe the root onto the beach and takeoff area.

  9. Ay up sy long time no speak. It,s a tillotson carb diaphram type,wasnt awear of any hole normaly it works fine and flows through the needle valve ok.it just wont push juice through to the suction port it just wont squeeze short of getting mole grips on it
  10. dose anyone know why the primer bulb goes solid and won,t squeeze,had this problem before and always sorted it not knowing what the cause is.and it allway,s s eems to happen when i am kitted up and ready to effin fly

  13. engine hard to pull,and you know it,s not flooded,check the belt tension a slack belt incorrectly adjusted can cause kick back as the propellor is part of the flywheel function this may also be the reason you are not getting max rpm,but most of us new dat anyway

Me has read some where solo 210 run in at 25 to 1 after three hours 30 to 1 wish i had saved it now.i recently had mine apart to clean the decompression port out which wasn,t blocked and found the engine to be generaly very sticky,using castrol power 1 racing oil .just wondered weather anyone else thought the same

Yea cheer,s Alan it,s helped allot.I had the head off a few months ago thinking i might have a leak,and put it back on at 15/ft pounds which seemed quite a lot and made a gasket out of kitchen foil which has worked ok .it,s got to come off again because the decompression drilling is blocked regards Dave Hines
  19. anyone no the tourque settings for the cylinder head on the solo 210 engine. It,s quicker to ask though i,m shure there is a youtube clip somwhere.the last time i look it off i tightened it down to 15 ft pounds i think that is to much.
