  15. Rob Coombe was ok, not epic as too much cloud cover but got good height and pushed well forward of hill before lift dropped off. About 20 or more gliders in the air also, so not too busy for a coombe day. Got bored after an hour so went microlighting at clench common till dusk.

  20. Hi Dan Yes it was quite lumpy, as the sun kept popping through the clouds long enough to warm the ground and kick off thermals too. This kind of flying i do not mind, it was just the low cloudbase at times was the problem, popping in the ears to keep below the clouds.
  21. Hi to all Had a great flight this morning taking off east of Oxford and flying into Buckinghamshire before flying over the county line into Berkshire. Wind on takeoff was easterly about 7-8mph with fairly low cloudbase to start off at 1000ft asl. Heading east towards the Bucks chiltern hills and headed towards Henley on Thames before flying to Reading. After flying over Terrys house (not in again) headed back to Oxfordshire via Bledlow and Princess Risborough. Nice steady flight with a few thermals triggering as the sun slowly brock through the at times very overcast sky. Pictures of todays flight in my album Simon Payne
  22. Hi Simon I think one of the pilots is a Richard Partridge, so if your watching Rich put a post onto this reply. Hope your keeping well by the way Simon P
  23. Hi all Five minutes after taking the photo i was one of the gaggle which had grown to 40 pilots. This was the only thermal at takeoff which was working and everyone used it to get high before going xc. The pilots were all compitant and had good seperation in the thermal. I took the climb to cloudbase before going on a glide to the next thermal. The following week they held a compition from this site with over 150 pilots in the air at once Nice flying for Febuary ah.
  24. Hi Simon Book me down as coming along, Thanks Simon P
