ralphwishart
I use a garmin Oregon 450 I bought on a ebay look-a-like site in Sweden at a very reasonable price. It has barometric altimeter, a color screen that works great under intense sunlight, touch screen that is pressure sensitive and the best of all is that you can scan your sectionals and approach plates and georeferece them on Google Earth and upload them to the unit. No more wondering where you are. And of course you can save your flights on kml/kmz for viewing on Google Earth.
Dominicppg
PPGPS for android Great idea. Does anyone know if this (or similar) is available on Windows phone?
PatPux
I just downloaded PPGPS, and had a play, looks like a great little app. My only concern would be its visibility in strong light, which is where something like the Oregan would come into its own
