With so many GPS units on the market I don't have the time to search everyone available so a little help is required :D

I currently have a Magellan Meridian Gold GPS which is playing up so I am looking to upgrade. The features I want are the following:

  • Buttons - (Touch screen will be ok if it works while wearing gloves)
Screen no smaller than my current gps 2.2"h x 1.75"w (Colour screen is a bonus)
    Speedometer
Direct route display (Shows a straight line to follow to destination)
Able to download flight path to laptop
    Price: Under £100

Any ideas? Thanks guys.

I use a garmin Oregon 450 I bought on a ebay look-a-like site in Sweden at a very reasonable price. It has barometric altimeter, a color screen that works great under intense sunlight, touch screen that is pressure sensitive and the best of all is that you can scan your sectionals and approach plates and georeferece them on Google Earth and upload them to the unit. No more wondering where you are. And of course you can save your flights on kml/kmz for viewing on Google Earth.
