Steve
I've always fancied launching from Clifton Downs by the Sea Wall and flying above the gorge and out towards Pill. Can't imagine that would go down too well.

Badger
Hi rafal it would be great to meet up and have aa float about, as soon as the weather clears up a bit I'll let you know where I'm going to fly from. The idea of flying from the Clifton downs has been playing in my head, it is out of the Bristol atz and there are a fair few places to land out if there was an engine problem, you could safely stay legal (the 500' rule) but it just seems wrong! Safe take off, over the sea wall and down through the Avon gorge would be a great flight, anyone interested?.
Steve
I looked into it a while ago but found some references to by-lays about using the downs, I could just imagine some official with a clip board standing there whilst coming in to land.
