Guest
Hi all, Simon W is inviting peope to fly a leg of the tip to tip with them. I thought it might be a giggle if we got together and escorted them into our field. It would be quite a sight to see four black wings, motors & pilots with a yellow thing darting about aswell. Hopefully a few others would be able to tag on aswell and hopefully we will have a few more members by the summer as well. We could have a BBQ and possibly people might want to camp over, hey Bendme fancy bringing your guitar? I might be able to get hold of a small Marquee. I am not sure of the exact date yet, hopefully Simon W will let us know when it is likely to be. Anyone else got any ideas? If anyone is interested put your names down here, I will then forward them to Simon W for his statistics.
Guest
If all goes to plan, we aim to be landing at your place on the 01 - Aug - 08. SW
Guest
Hi Simon put me down. Why not fly the leg from Paddy's to our site on mass, both groups, and the tip to tip. We could even buzz Airways with about 20 pilots. some great shots for the media
Guest
As far as I know, Airways are not involved with the Tip to Tip flight and are unlikely to get involved due to it not being a BHPA governed event. SW
Guest
Also... They are 7 miles off route. SW
Guest
Hi Simon. I haven't had a chance to look at the route in detail. But still a nice thought of a lot of pilots in a group. I wasn't suggesting landing at Airways , but believed your route would take you a lot closer to the airfield . Are you going under the East mids CTA, or a dog leg to come down the Daventry CTA
