Good day,,

Would like to buy new motor for new pilot,,

What is beter (Black Devil or fresh-breeze Sportix) in terms of:

Safety

Design

price

heavy duty

Tork

...

..

.

I am 100 KG pure..

When you say Black Devil do you mean the Cors Air M25Y engine. Black Devil comes in different guises I think.

The Fresh Breeze (FB) Sportix uses the Simonini engine which is well proven for reliability and power. However FB have reduced the max revs to 6400-cold 6200-hot RPM instead of the 7400 RPM that the Simonini is capable of. This is to increase longevity. I weigh >100kg naked and fly Sportix which has plenty of power for me on my Revolution 29.

Parts / dealer support for FB are equal to if not better than any of the non British built motors.

I flew the FB Sportix with Polini engine earlier this year and was very impressed with the power for such a light motor.

As for

Safety

Design

price

heavy duty

Tork

The M25 probably has more power which depending on set up harness type etc may produce more torque steer.

The Sportix cage isn't designed for big impacts but the frame is solid and light. The torque is present but the design of the swinging arms cancell most of it. At full throttle slight weight shift into the left of the harness seat keeps on the straight and narrow.

The Sportix does have integrated Y bridle for reserve which can be mounted in left or right side harness deployment pouch. I bought extra side panel pocket to harness so on longer flights I mount my reserve on my front so to have 2 large side pockets for oil tools wash kit etc.

Hope this helps.

Regards

I would be very careful in opting for a Polini engined paramotor, especially for the heavier pilot. The 110cc Polini Thor engine has a claimed output of 22HP- the same as a 180 cc engined Parajet Macro......

On the France trip earlier this year a pilot had a lucky escape after an engine out on a Polini Thor motor.....And he was a relatively small pilot. Upon investigation it had blown a 20mm hole in the piston.. The motor was brand new.

Neil.. :D
