jonnorton
Eddie (fast) & Simon, How did it go? Left the field about 18:15 and no sign of you on the horizon, did you make it back? Jon
fast_eddie
Made it Lo Lambourne with speeds of around 40 MPH Thanks to Simon & Colin for Waiting around to refuel us (Owe you a pint or 2). Set off for Shabbington via another Fuel stop at Kennington (Nr Abingdon) - started off making ground speed of 12 mph but wind eased and by the time we landed for our 2nd Refuel we were making 20 mph. However the sun was now setting 6.15ish and we did not want to risk landing in the dark so retired to the pub. Great call by Big Simon - Great Fun ... We did make it back with full bellies via a local taxi firm Will make the last leg next time by leaving earlier !! (Big Simon!!) Hopefully you and Eddie C can join us next time Eddie (fast)

edwardc
Shame I missed it. Been trying to do the trip for a while now. Sorry to hear that you couldn't get back but that means that the 2 way trip hasn't been done yet so I am up for that. Hope to sort my motor out today and then I am on standby. See you soon Eddie
learner_driver
yeah yeah yeah ok technically correct, although morally we have the win next time dont invite me. My new line untangling / skipping rope technique, probably cost us an extra 1/2 hour to unravel over the normal preflight check time. today looks good and the wind is in a sympathetic direction go for it
