ArcusFlyer Posted March 31, 2009 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Turns out last Sunday was pretty epic for free flying. Felt like the first day of the year with good spring thermals. I flew very early off a bad choice of hill and bombed out immediately but had to set off straight away from the dales back home to Cheshire. Going through Hawes I was looking up at a nice cumulus when I saw 4 paragliders going stratospheric drifting in and out of a very high cloudbase. Looked like they had launched from Dodd fell. Gave me a tingly feeling but I had no time to stop and try to find the launch (had motor and hill kit in the car). Turns out several good XCs were flown.
