Carburetor storage - with or without fuel?

Recommended Posts

I'm preparing my paramotor for winter break during which I'd like to keep it in the living room. Except for plugging the air intake and exhaust holes I'd like to fully get rid of fuel in the tank and all pipes. Can I store the paramotor for a few months with no fuel in the carburetor? I've heard that the fuel conserves the membranes but as they are made of rubber/plastic it's hard for me to believe it. this material doesn't soak up fuel. Besides, they are not delivered or stored in the shops immersed in the fuel, right? ;)

If it's not recommended, why is that and what are the potential issues or damages it could make to the carburetor?
