When I am well I fly every day I can from 2 sites near Middlesbrough.

However, I had a disc fused 9 weeks ago. Brilliant op until 2 weeks later another disc said bugger off. I have been lying on my back in this sodding hospital bed ever since. I can't stand, sit or walk now! Hopefully someone will fix me.

Warrington based too. I have just finished a zero to hero course at FlySpain.  I am based in south Warrington and have my own flying site that I have just mowed whilst waiting for new paramotor gear to arrive. Let me know how you get on with training. Ant

Hi Ant your set up sounds perfect!,

How was your course?.I have contacted Mid Wales PPG centre and they have a slot in Costa Blanca in May.

I'm still in the research stage still watching loads of videos and waiting for a book to land.

I live in Lowton now near Leigh originally from Appleton Thorn.

Well FlySpain were excellent. The instruction was brilliant and lots of good banter leading to a good atmosphere, location excellent with stunning views. Can’t fault FlySpain. Weather wise, some days 38c and some days a chilling 32c. Which then leads into the only slight problem which was thermals. We would start flying at first light until 10am poss 11am. 3 or 4 hours worth before the thermals got to bad and the instructors got nervous. Then off back to the accommodation for the longest siesta of your life followed by an evening session which was hit and miss with the wind. Overall a great experience and I will be back for follow up courses. Avoid to much beer and good food, great little restaurants didn’t help with avoiding hangovers.

I am a mile south of Stretton and have some land here. I am using my neighbors land which doesn’t get used for anything so it’s all mine. So to start off with the plan is to take it softly softly and not piss the neighbors off. Basically don’t shit on your own doorstep. But once all settled in then possibly get other guys to fly in and start encouraging more flying in my area.

I live in Spain part of the year and I sometimes fly in the same place as Flyspain, Bornos lake. Brilliant place.

Yeah Bornos was a perfect place for it. Whilst we were there the Qatar Army Display team trained there. Entertaining. So obviously known through out the world. Will get some experience next then head back. They also do slalom training there. Mmmm might be a while.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Ant,

It's fantastic knowing there are people nearby in this sport and hope to meet you in the future, Fly Spain sounds spot on , I watched a vid of some guys doing  acro training there and I thought they seem advanced instructors so a higher ceiling for the future maybe.

Thanks again Pete.

I'm new to the club and just wanted to say hi to our fellow fliers.   Am based in Appleton in southern Warrington and fly a flphg down at Ashbourne.   Yes, it's a bit too far and would like to meet flying folk more local.    Anybody out there ?

Cheers,

Neil

Any north east based Paramotor pilots who can help a newly qualified CP power rating fella get some initial flights in? Been practicing ground handling and expect to get a motor shortly - bit of help would be appreciated if there's anybody within, say, 70 miles of Newcastle?

I also have access to a site in the Tyne valley area through friendly land owner

Cheers,

Martyn

hi, CP-rated based in Newcastle; qualified a little before covid and then nothing... just in the process of getting gear sorted and then I'm looking for anybody who is close-by (-ish) who will fly with me (whilst I make a mess of things no doubt 🙄) and help me get a bit of experience...

anybody up for the challenge?

thanks, Martyn
