  1. Not sure if you're after a "hotter" wing or just a replacement but this is lifted from the Dudek Solo manual:

The question arises about the differences between Solo and similar wings in this segment - the no longer produced Synthesis 2. In a nutshell, it can be said that Solo is a little more advanced when it comes to flight parameters due to its slightly greater aspect ratio (5.4, as compared to 5.1 on the Synthesis), yet at the same time it is easier to use...
Compared to Synthesis, Solo gets up and launches easier. In flight, its canopy is a bit softer, so that controls are lighter, and pilot can get a better feel of the air when thermalling. It is also more economical and has wider take-off weight ranges.
...while Solo is a pleasant, thoroughbred paramotor wing for intermediate pilots looking for uncomplicated wings for fun and cross-country flying. The Solo has a shorter trimmers...and risers are easier to operate.

  2. How do you define keen? Happy to see a few, as it’s good to see other stuff and might be useful for spare parts. But wouldn’t want the event turning into a trade show. Besides, it might help swell the club coffers 💰😀

  3. I put mine in the back of the car behind the passenger seat. Does mean I have to make up the frame every time but I’ve not yet had the desire to subject my Maverick to all the crud of the road while driving with it strapped to the back. However I do have a Thule Easybase set up for when I change my mind. 😀

Chris, did Vittorazi replace at their cost or have you purchased the replacement carb?

It’s being done under warranty. On their website (under News) they mention there is a free upgrade kit for those with ‘19 models to bring them in line with ‘20 models, though it must be done via dealers. Not sure what the carb is though.

My school 19 and 20 are running flawlessly, but I have seen the problem and it was definitely air related ( bubbles in the fuel line )

There are different issues then because mine was not bubble related. None in my fuel line when  the issue manifested itself. Given the number of units affected this weekend at Membury, I’d also hazard a guess and say they weren’t either.

  6. I know exactly what problem you’re talking about as I’ve experienced exactly the same thing. Twice in flight (very disconcerting) and loads of times on the ground. I’ve had the carb stripped, cleaned and changed, checked fuel lines, clunker, primer, spark plug, you name it I’ve checked it (with the exception of the coil). In fact it’s what kept me from flying this weekend.

I’ve done a bit of research and see that Vittorazi have changed the  carb totally for the '20 model. The new one now has a high range needle "for those in colder climates". My thinking is they've acknowledged that there is a fuel issue and done something about it. (they've also changed the reduction drive). I'm going to see if I can get hold of one of the new carbs and see if that makes a difference.
