  1. Ive got the Blazewear ones.....(my opinion) ...........I reckon they are great of course you loose a lot of the feel for the lines and throttle on take off but once you are up and away they are brilliant I went for the throw away battery type because i didnt know how good they would be....so the warm time is around 2hrs which is good enough for me....even without the heat turned on they are quite a warm glove....So Ive awarded them :lol: 5 stars

  2. bholleran

    I feel for you ( I really Do )

Ive said it before and I will say it again we are unpaid test pilots....for the paramotor companies :(

we pay good money and get a product that has not been tested enough before they start selling them

I got my money back from the dealer after problems with my Pap pa125 after trading standards suggested that it wasnt fit for purpose....its a big problem when things go wrong with a machine because if its returned to the maker we miss out on the flying sometimes for the whole summer....they know this and sweet talk us with promises and upgrades ect ect and will will fix it ( its the first time its happened )

I hope that the paramotor survey will give us some answers when the results are announced....

ps does anybody know when :?::?:

I don't mind abiding by current rules but if these were to change unreasonably then I (and probably many others) would be forced to consider flying 'outside' of such rules. Thankfully I just can't see that happening any time soon.

I am with you on that one.............. although please dont tell anybody

    About time too

those who laugh last............ laugh loudest

Even Sony knew when to give up ... :?: on a bad egg ..... when they started to ditch the memory stick and go with the SD card.... :?:?

    (Comparison)

  5. isnt it GREAT to be praising a company instead of the usual moaning and groaning.. :D:D:D

Every single time Ive delt with them it has always been a super quick quality service....... :P

(So quick in fact once I almost got it back before I sent it):lol:

  6. Ive got a video somewhere that also has the Exact same noise :(

in my case the prop was also nicked......it had come into contact with the mallions on the risers (metal)

I searched for ages to find the mark and if it wasnt for the fact I had prop tape on and it had left a speck of it on the mallion I wouldnt have been sure what had hit the prop.....?

Also bear in mind that the paramotor that you are using Pap 1400 the frame can flex on a forward launch and catch the prop also......I noticed on your previous perfect take off :P:P:P your motor is not fitted the the optional bar that stiffens the frame up which eliminates the problem :?

  7. QUOTE

Although I'm aware of the argument that things like this could give paramotoring a bad name, I think we often over-react. Every time some idiot drives down a residential street at 40mph the danger to the public is 1000 times greater than some guy flying lower than he should. In that newspaper article, they couldn't think of any danger other than a 'distraction to motorists'. I regularly drive past Heathrow and manage to survive whilst 'distracted' by a 747 passing right over me at a few hundred feet. If somebody circled low over my house regularly, I might be mildly irritated but someone passing low overhead once in a blue moon? Anyone who sees that as a cause to write to their MP needs to get a life!

I agree with everything your saying However Nobodys going to ban motoring or stop people driving their car like lunatics...

Once you are up in the air everybody for miles around can see you So we are in the public eye from the moment we leave the ground.....it would be very easy for the Caa to ban paramotoring just because we are not the flavour of the month....after all we dont contribute any money for anything we just take !! ........... (Which is as it should be)..........

But with the way it is at the moment ...You Know If it moves TAX it  we should be keeping a Low profile not flying Low and pissing the Uneducated off

  8. Information a bit sketchy at the moment. Some unconfirmed suggestion that he may have been in training with Mahony Aviation in France?

    Translated from a French paper:

_Any body got any more information than this ? it is a translation from a french Newspaper ??_______________________________________________________________________________

A fatal accident in the sky

    Published Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:18

A British 57-year-old was killed yesterday in the late morning, in a microlight crash in the town of pendulum-Laragne Montéglin. It was about 11:15 when the inexperienced pilot crashed his microlight aircraft. Beginner, he trained on a track expected to perform a series of takeoffs and landings under the supervision of an instructor on the ground.

He made a pilot error as can suggest that the ULM suddenly nose dive? At a height of 100 m, the microlight crashed in orchards. The sky was good, and the weather looked good. A gust of wind may have surprised the driver. The local gendarmerie brigade and the air transport of Marseille have opened an investigation.
