  1. once again thankyou , i may be new to motoring side of foot launch but i dont wish to turn up to the school not knowing anything about my wing
  2. Thanks Si the manuel states there a tag sewn in the trimmer to prevent you going to far into experienced mode this can be unstitched for when you feel ready, i assume this tag would have been at the neutral position
  3. thansk si so let me get this right and plaes confirm for me. trim pulled all the way in = soaring and landing in light winds no reflex but dont use speed bar trim pulled so rear riser 2cm bellow the netural line = best take off (even in nill wind??) neutral = once taken off and at safe height cruising postion (still dont use speed bar?) but is this in relex mode or not? and do i use brakes to stear or wing tip at this point) and then anything above neutral is in relex but dont use speed bar unless 100% relex ?? thanks in advance for clarification
  4. i can now see both the vid and the link, ive alreadys seen the video, is what im after is the label that is on the trimmer strap so i can replicate that label ? Darren
  5. is there supposed to be apic or something there, as the post is blank ??
  6. hi all i have a paramania revolution wing , i got it second hand over a year ago (it must be good because the owner only flew it a couple times each year and he recently missed it so much he asked if he could buy it back) any way ive decided to take to the motor and have booked to have my motor conversion/lessons . ive finally got the wing out of the bag to check out the risers and the trimmers are just red and blank, no stitch mark or indication of trim levels, ive searched the web and noticed that paramania issued an up grade that was red and green with indication on it ,ive contacted it them and they no longer issue this upgrade becasause they no longer make this wing. so to enable me to mark the risers my self correctly could so one with this wing and the upgrade either send me a close up picture of the riser markings with a ruller next to it with the 0cm mark on the bottom or top setting so i can copy it, or even better scan it retaining the original size so i can print it out on tshirt printer paper and transfer it to the trimmer myself. sounds strange but it would help me a lot. many thanks Darren
  7. please excuse me if this is covered some where else but i would like clear definitive answer rather than trawling though post to see what i can understand. and it wouldnt really be a forum if no one asked rather than searched i have a parajet voulution 2 , my question is this, in degrees C what should the head tempreture be and what should the EGT tempreture be, and also what does the tempreture tells me my understanding is this if the tempreture is too high at low revs then the engine is lean on the low end Needle if the tempreture is too low then its too rich on the low end needle , the same for the high end needle when at high revs, is this correct and what should the temps be and what sort of tolerance from thoese temps is aceptable many thanks in advance for your answers Darren
  8. i was mainly referring to the damage to the motor, if i had a rack on my car the paramotor would easily cost more to replace than my car.
  9. i did consider getting a back rack not to save a few seconds dismantling the frame each time but mainly to stop the inside of the car getting covered in oil and fuel, and although i have 20 years no claims on my insurance there is no control over someone going in to the back of me destroying my motor, has anyone managed to claim the extra 3-5k on top of the damage to there car for there motor in a car accident ????
  10. full of sense , turn your back on someone only a foot away while your props spinning.
  11. yes it is, only fine sand and water can be dropped from an aircraft, however if you have a word with the local freefall club they should be able to tell you how to go about gaining permission to have someone eject themselves from your aircraft! on a less serous note seen as the body is 70% water they can only prosecute for 30% of the max fine
  12. If you turn your engine off you are still classed as a powered glider you've just simply chosen to glide at that time you still have the means to fly under power , dispite which gliders are only exempt from the 500ft rule when ridge soaring or like any other aircraft when landing or taking off, there's no need to ignore the 500ft rule it's for our own safety as well as others
  13. just a quick simple question , when using a pg wing if the the weight range of the wing is rated for 90-110kg how much extra does the wing rateing increase by adding a motor?
  14. yes thankyou, i was thinking about the icaro helmet but noticed there fittings seem to be inside the helmet? another quick question the guys at microavionics will probably able to answer but untill then!. if you connect your phone and use it as an mp3 player and a call comes in if you get radio chatter while on the phone do you only here radio chatter and it cuts the sound from the phone and does the person on the phone here what your saying when transmitting on the radio?
  15. tinkering i should be but the wife is preventing tat from happening at the moment so far ive removed the black paint from the silencer the red underneath looks a lot better ive got to hand test first. one question do you hand test with or without fuel? Darren
  16. is someone able to tell me if the micro avionics head set fits the plus max ul helmet or the icaro ul helmet ahd do you need to buy a certain one to get the fitting, ie buy the helet with ear cups? thankyou
