Apco Thrust HP medium
-
Ho no
I know i joined paramotor club which has 3 parajet macro's which have load of thrust from behind (but i din't think it was that behind ) I'll have to keep you two in sight at all times from now
see you soon up front soon

Hi Geoffw
YES I am very pleased with the Apco Thrust HP but I have nothing to compare it with ,it comes up first time in 5mph reverse launch and hovers above so long as you walk backwards a bit and turn and run increasing the power till you take off (with trimmers let out 1&1/2 inch from pulled tight ).
It is very stable in the air and the swing arms on the Macro gives you Lott's of feedback from the wing .
With a forward launch ( 0- 3mph )I pull the trimmers tight then let them out 3/4 of an inch ,when I feel that the wing is stable and above my head I Run as hard as I can and when I can't run eney more I use the thrust to get me moving till i take off (You have to comite to take of with any forward )
With trimmers let out 1 1/2 inch with nill wind my GPS redgeserd 24 mph I don't know whot the top speed is with trimer out full or with speed bar as I havent tryed that yet
have a look at this its a revers with 5 mph wind trimmers set as above

Hi Dave
you screw the Hi & Lo clockwise (in) to make the mixture leaner ( less fuel more air )
you screw the Hi & LO anti-clockwise (out ) to make the mixture richer (less air more fuel )
have a read of this site for carb tuning http://www.aerocorsair.com/id150.htm
Some times my Parajet Macro plays ball and is fantastic to fly and other days it can be be a bit of a bugger ,but i tinker with mine a lot and try to get the best responce from the engine before each flite( i think its some thing to do with the air pressure on the day and humidity )
hope this helps but if any one can more be helpfull please do so
regards mark

After a 9 month wait i finally got my first flite of the year in at the Hull Aero club
I arrived there about 4 pm and Trev signed in as a day member and got my kit out
It was a good day to fly the wind speeds were 6MPH and no gusts the site was very busy with light aircraft and microlites doing touch ago's but it was a bit to thermal to fly so went and talked to the other paramotorist that had been there since 7 am (The Paramotor Pirates) of which Im a member.
Trev ,Terry, Alan all had several flites in the morning , Paul arived about 4.30 ish after taking of from near home (thanks for the asistence on take off Paul) .
Me, Alan and Mike (Paramotormike) had a flite about 6PM for about an hour with smooth air , LOOK forward to a great year of paramotoring

Hi Merlin
I bought one last year when I first started flying the compass needs to be horizontal to the horizon or it gives a false reading (dont know what metal parts on paramotor do to it as the macro is aluminium) the alti meater compares quite well against the Garmin 60 csx,the baro works quite well as well .
I also carry a magnetic compass on a pin ( the ones used to stick on car windows) but if held to close to the garmin it interferes with compass on it
Hope this helps
