  2. Pete, will take you up on that offer of the bandage for the exhaust. if you leave it in your van l can pick it up next time we meet. Hoping to pop up to the flag pole the Monday following the Nats. Will also be at the Nats on the Sunday arriving early morning also.

  3. A big ROFL Pete, your great at quirky answers. Eddy, to update you, the event was organised by the Sky Surfers Club near Petersfield called Butser Hill it is predominently a Hang glider and PG Club but once a year (yesterday) they allow PPG. The Event is called Butser Festival of Flight.

See you at the flag pole soon Eddy,

    Regards Mike.

    :D:lol:

  4. Hi Simon, the event went really well, not as many spectators as last year but still a good turn out. Three motors, mine, Paul and Kay and Ben. It was great weather but the wind was changing direction practically every minute. Paul and Ben had a good flight and there were quite a few interested parties. (gave a few cards out). My take off ended with a wing tip hitting the cage. Cage ok, but will fix the wing tip during the week. Thanks for the link to the glue page.

  5. Ha ha, This is from Jackie......I've just been watching the video from the Oxford PMC flyin. Another good event you organised Simon. I did like the music Paul added to the video lol. Keep up the good work for that event and future events.

  6. all, This Sunday (14th) the above event is being held and organised by the Sky Surfers Club. its run once a year and is a PG site but has permission on this day alone to allow PPG.

I attended last year to promote PPG and the general public were very interested.

Butser is near Petersfield in Queen Elizabeth Park. Timings are 1100 - 1600.

Might see a few of you there.

There were a couple of trade tents there last year, the main one selling high performance kites. There is also a cafe for teas coffee cakes etc.

Plenty of room for ground handling and take off in most directions for PG's.

    Regards Mike.

  7. yep echo echo, to all. what a brilliant day. Two great flights, a hearty lunch from the farm, and a fantastic group of people to mix with.

Mark C, good that you got your motor sorted and got to fly. Dave (Outcast) hope you get your fuel/jet prob sorted. Big Simon, you need a bigger wing, felt sorry for all your running effort today and not get airborne. Paul Sayer, good to catch up with you in the air and also good to see Kay take to the air once again. Pete B, glad to see you still smiling and on the mend.

    Regards Mike.

P.S. to the last few that new (car keys) got in at 0130 and now off to bed, thanks for the beers Ken, much appreciated. 8):)

  8. Just to add that a roll of cling film in the same kit would be useful. For info, most PG sites do not allow flying alone and this has been a steadfast rule for quite some time. common sense really. Most of the PPG airfields l have visited have always been busy anyway.

Looks to windy this weekend, hope the flyin w'end weather is peachy eh!

    Mike,

    cu you there. 8)

  9. Hi Pete, glad to know your on the mend and out of hospital soon and good to have a chat with you yesterday.

Great thing about this sport is that we do look out for one an' other, and l am sure that Colin and l didn't realise how quick we could run, lol.

Look forward to seeing you at the fly in.

    Take care

  10. Agree with Pete, but to say all films have there critics and we were expecting it. but with every thing against us ie, weather, time off work, spares running out etc etc, the group still remained focused and Simon could not have picked a much better group of people. I am hoping that the team picked for the 2010 Australia have as much enthusiasm as we had and they will succeed.

There was a comment also on brake use. I normally fly a Synth which does not need as much brake input as the Revo on take off, and it took a few flights on the Revo to get used to this configuration. Just to add though that both the Revo and the Synth are great wings to fly and in the air they are both really stable and enjoyable to fly.

We had a few probs with the Macro's but they were sorted out and just to add that Parajet are brilliant in there after sales service, and in my opinion still a good looking motor.

I used my own motor on the T2T and with Parajets help its still going strong, although with a new paint job (lol!!)

  11. Hi Paul, nah, the only place we had left to pitch was on a slight slope and poor Jackie was on the downside of me (hehe) and during the night slipped against the wet tent. The rain did come down heavy that night and at 4am l had to slip her into my sleeping bag to get her warm again.

It was a tight fit but managed to get of to sleep again for a couple of hours. On the bright side l did manage to (l believe) pass my PPG rating with Mike Brown.

  12. Hi Simon, After Jackie getting soaked at the Pie and Peas she would definately prefer the B & B. Please Let us know prices and availability as and when they become definate. And the weather behaves itself.

  13. Yep l concur, a fantastic day, weather was good although quite thermic during the early afternoon. Had two great flights and the Parajet behaved itself impecably. It was so busy it was like a summer flyin.

Well done Tony on your flight today, pleased for you.

Pete, hope you find your Backy lol.

Simon, cheers for the beer, much appreciated.

Good to see Colin out and about again, l'm sure we will see you flying very soon.

Simon, l will bring the chain saw next time lol.

    see you all again soon.

    Fly safe
