  1. Hi Alan, Its a shame as l do Archery on a Thursday but am back home around 8.30pm. If your still at a loose end after that your more than welcome to pop in for a cuppa or two.

    PM or ring me 07729313924.

    Regards Mike.

P.S. l live about five minutes walk from Farnborough Station and/or the RAE

  2. Jim, Hi, yes it is the same motor but the cage is a different size depending on the prop and model. The main diffrence though l believe is in the gearing. Give gilo a call at Parajet and he will clarify what l have said and may help you in your enquiries.

  3. Hi Doc,

Perhaps the route should be made by each landing being near a garage with a decent landing field behind. Then its just a few yards to walk with the motor each time.

where would you carry the spare oil (or are you using a 4 stroke engine) If you don't have at least one ground crew and vehicle l hope you don't need spares.

Lastly, good luck in April. The flyke almost made it but then he had more mechanical stuff to deal with.

Last lastly, l hope the weather behaves for you.

    All the best Mike :)8)

  4. Yep, a great days flying today. to all non 4 x 4,s the track is definately a no no. Got stuck in the ruts half way up (yes l will have to buy a 4 x 4) and had to reverse all the way to the road again. Thanks to Si, decided to fly from his back garden. Shortly after was joined by Simon and Colin as it was blown out at the flag pole and started snowing for a short while.

After a chat and a coffee all three of us set up and flew. Then Colin had a HT Cable problem and landed. I flew to the White Horse and back and then landed. Had a flight debrief then went home with a smile on my face ie 2nd flight of 2010.

    Colin, Happy birthday mate.

    Regards Mike

  5. My mod was the same as Toms (in the pic above) in addition there is a hard rubber surround that covers these six before the prop goes on.

My Macro also had prop to cage hits but Parajet sorted it out with this mod and l havn't had a prop to cage strike since.

IMHO if this mod isn't done to Macro owners they are liable to a cage/prop strike.

Yes the prop disc is slightly outside the cage circumference but as long as you have a clean take off and definately do not turtle you should be ok.

As for vibration, check all the obvious. Prop symatry, belt tension etc etc.

  6. I have flown both the Revolution and the Synthesis. In my opinion they are both great stable wings, they have their own characteristics ie: the revolution on take off needs a bit more brake input but other than that l would reccommend either. (I have not flown the Apco.) My free flying wing is a UP Makalu which l have also flown with my motor but prefer wings with reflex.

  7. all, didn't make the flag pole but did get as far as Basingstoke and had my first flight of 2010. Only for 20 mins as fingertips were starting to feel the cold.

About eight of us turned up between 1030 and 1140 to crisp clear skies and ruddy cold wind (8 - 9mph)

All flew but decided not to go on an XC. Packed up about 1530 and home to a hot shower and relax lol.

Hope all went well at the flag pole Eddie.

  8. This is classed as an exstreme sport but that is pushing it. sod that.

Cage is safety, if all goes tits up that cage (non exsistent in this case) may be the only thing between you and that prop.

    ....

Happy New Year all while l'm here. been on to many sherries so going to wobble to the shed and look at my paramotor to see if its ok. This ones got a cage, new colour for 2010 (red)

    Miss being in the sky,

Take care everybods in 2010 and happy flying 'Hic!!
