  1. What would you call the right price . fromthe pics it looks imaculate with only 20hours on it, the guy wants 2600 ONO for it what do you think
  2. what do people think of the simonini fresh breeze . i am going to see one tomorow , just wondered thats all . thanks jim
  3. Hi .. Thanks for that will ring tomorow
  4. Gents .. I am looking at buying a parajet (2nd hand) . it has a wooden prop on it and i have been told its the middle one in the Volution range . Am i right in assuming parajet just use different props and cages for the different models Ie: compact - macro etc . so i could always upgrade to a Macro prop for more thrust. as the motor power and size seem to be exactly the same for all and the fuel usage figures point to different prop sizes . thanks jim
  5. i do like the parajets . Someone i used to work with sold his recently but i wasnt in a position to buy it at the time . A freind of mine flies a walkerjet w200 and thats quiet nice . other than that Fresh breeze motors seem tyo be ok . Just need to find something with a reasonable price now . anyone thinking of selling up in the coming months
  6. Ok gents im fairly set on the wing i want and have been offered a good price on a second hand Silex . Now the motor . what one do i choose. do they all feel different once your strapped in. weight differnce are they all rougly the same. i am following anouther thread about pro's and con's on peoples motors , thanks jim
  7. Hi thank you i was hoping you might say that. Will hopefully be buying my wing in the not to distant future now
  8. ok gents .. the wing i am looking at for my weight plus 35kg as simon said puts me at 120kg this is the very top of the small wings weight limit and dead in the middle of the medium wing weight range . I know being heavy on a wing is better for penetration against the wind and for speed .. But would it make any real difference in this case. thanks again jim
  9. Ok cool so nearer the top end of the range is better .. IF i said 30kg for a motor i know that might be a little heavy but it would give me a rough guide to go by for choosing a wing
  10. ahh yes i should have thought about the fuel like that. is it better to be near the top end of a weight range or near the bottom.
  11. gents . I am jsut wondering what the average weight of a motor with a tank of fuel is . Am just thinkning about buying my first wing and motor but wanna make sure i get the best sort of wing for the weight . Thanks jim
  12. Hi . Its my understanding that after a long battle with vandalism to the aircraft. it was deemed nessecery to move it to a more secure place . makes a change to here that from the usual chinook.
  13. hello . Just for info really , the Surry police helicopter operates out of RAF Odiham now and transits in and out of Surry at a low'ish altitude on its daily taskings. Its a blue and yelllow Helo and can sometimes be a little difficult to spot whilst in the air. thanks Jim
  14. Happy new year . Just thought id add my little bit to this .. At a gliding competition last year i was facing the music and was committed to landing in a field . id run out of thermals and height and had picked my field i was at apr1000ft agl i carried on my way floating down until i got to just over 700ft by this time i was in my circuit to land . Just as i passed opposite the landing area i saw a white flash at about 2 o'Clock just slightly lower than me it was about 800 yards away maybe a little more. I looked again and it was a para-motor a white wing with another colour on it .It was also heading at 45 degrees to me and away. i altered my course to avoid it and landed in the desired place I am certain had i not seen the flash i might not of missed the motor due to the circuit i was flying . whilst in a cockpit with a higher than normal workload . I believe as a minimum para-motors should have a strobe , on the day in question that strobe might well have saved a couple of lives. Its better to be Proactive gents I'm all for them . Sorry if this has been long winded but i thought it might make a difference maybe happy flying Jim
