s14arn
Hi everyone I am new here and I am excited about starting, my biggest question is take off sites I have 3 possible places in my local area (friends and family farms) but one is in restricted airspace as its near a prison and all 3 are in class d airspace with an international airport 8 miles away, is it possible to fly from these sites and if so will I have to get permission from atc everytime I want to go out? is this difficult? Any help would be great, Aaron.
Guest
Hi Aaron, I am assuming that you will be getting some training? Your instructor will show you how to read an air chart (which is not hard at all) Welcome to the Paramotor Club SW

s14arn
Yes I'm definitely getting training but as I am in NI I am starting with paragliding basics then I will have to go to England for an intensive few day course.
AdEves
You may well be able to establish an agreement with the airport ATC to use a low level entry/exit route to your site without getting a clearance each time. You might be able just to notify them by phone as long as you stick to an agreed plan.
