Hemberg
I want an hour meter on my motor and bought a tiny tach tt2a. Worked okay up to about 8000 rpm on my pap pa 125 then it froze at 11700 rpm (hope I don't really have that high rpm) I reset the tiny tach and had fewer wraps of the red wire (only one wrap). Tried again and it died. Reset again and then cut red wire moved the white ground cable and still the same problem. I also got a brauniger IQ motor vario that also behaves like this once in a while. resets and reboots. Had it on a miniplane with problems and now on the pap. Useless crap equipment. Is there an hour meter out there that doesn't have this problem?
Hemberg
solved the tiny tach problem by cutting the wire to about 2 cm. Wrapped it in tape and mounted it on the ignition cable. Also changed spark plug and made sure it was tighten enough (25Nm)
