poz
At this time of year, we have a bit of a nightmare situation here in Spain, for anyone with young children or dogs. They're called The Pine Processionary Caterpillar and they can be lethal to dogs. Their defence is to shed the fine hairs on their backs. Get them on your skin and you'll be scratching yourself raw for weeks. Inhale them and they can easily kill a dog and would send children to hospital in a really bad way. They even warn you not to try killing them because of hair dispersal. And, they're everywhere. I took a short video in the back garden yesterday morning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eI6hliJ_V6M Not sure if they are anywhere else in the Med.
