davieboy33
Hiya all.... Does any body know of a simple way of getting a camera up by the wing ? I have seen this on lots of videos but am wondering if there is anything on the market for this....Or is it mainly home diy stuff to get your cam up there..? Dave. trevor4130
http://gokiting.com/accessories/gopro-c ... mount.html Never used or seen used. But looks like it may be rigged up to work.
paramotormike
Hi Dave. I used my gopro hd. But I was aware it seemed heavy. So mount it half way from leading edge toward trailing edge, so as not to invite a frontal collapse. I used the mounting plate that comes with the gopro. Its a square plastic 4" mount that is part of the protective case the camera is delivered in. Luckily it has the same mount socket as all the other mounts. I then put the plate inside the wing and carefully mounted the camera through from the bottom of the wing pinching the wing onto the mount. It only pinches a very small amount of wing and sits there nicely. There was no creasing after removal. (2mins 45 secs in)Now the cover my arse bit. Obviously this may not be a good idea mounting something on the underside of the wing. May cause its flight charateristics to change. Dont blame me if something happens. Anyways it worked for me. paramotormike
I thought my GoPro was a bit heavy, but that looks even heavier. Be careful out there! Mike
