robindeakin
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... 4_02_2010/ I watched countryfile on BBC 1 sunday 14th feb and there was a feature on the flying farmer, I noticed before take off the presenter stood next too paramotor, put her hands over her ears while the farm full revved the machine, i thought well that cannot be safe. I would have thought the BBC would have had professional advice, so not to put presenter in danger
tommcb6016
I thought the same thing when I watched it, stood in line with the prop! In the line of fire should anything have been picked up ! I guess the BBC have a risk assesment Policy to give anyone a headache... But they missed this one. Tom
Farmer_Dave
I would think this shows how IMPORTANT our training is. The beeb is not to blame here. The pilot should check and direct folk out of harms way, surely ? I have allways asked people to move away from the ends of the prop and will not throttle up until they do. I hope this is obvious to all considering the tips of the prop can be doing in excess of 350 mph. Dave
