Guest
All, During a Pre Flight check the other day, I found two rips in my wing, one LARGE and one little. I was border line sending it directly to the loft...... Thought I would give them a call first. There advice...... If it is on the upper surface and close to the trailing edge (the back) then you can repair it with the Sticky rip stop that comes with the wing.... MY POINT IS: Trailing Edge ( 8 inch rip) Self repair. Leading Edge (2 inch rip) SEND TO LOFT. Worth knowing........ and guess what this means...... I am going for a fly SW
pauldeakin
You should also consider how close it is to a seam, if it is closer than about 1cm you will not be able to overlap the rip enough with repair tape, so may need to get a panel replaced. A panel replacement costs about £50 Paul D
