I believe these sink rates are figures produced by the manufacturers, not from an independent tester. some manufacturers exaggerate the figures more than others, some are well known for supplying figures that are way out, therefore you should not compare figures between manufacturers because you don't know by how much they exaggerate. They are only useful when comparing models from the same manufacturer because then you can assume they are all out by roughly the same amount.
