prichardson Posted August 2, 2008 Share Posted August 2, 2008 Hi James, Just a word of advice from a lorry driver... Unless you have a job lined up then don't get any hopes up. The haulage industry is falling flat on it's backside at the moment. Some experienced class 1 (C+E) drivers are working for as little as £6 per hour... How many hours to make up for your training? This is one of the few industries where wages have fallen over the past 10 years, and new drivers are finding it hard, if not impossible to get a foot-hold in any job because there are so many experienced drivers clambering to fill the positions.
