jacko61
I’m on the look out for a newer motor to replace an old Adventure F3 that I’ve been flying with for years. I had been thinking about a Bulldog but I noticed a Bailey V4-200 on eBay and wondered if any members had any experience (good or bad) of this model. I appreciate it’s quite an old model now but as I don’t fly that much, I don’t want to fork out too much cash. Any comments would be welcome
Mark Morgan
Hi The V4 200 is around 36kg and has a claimed thrust output of 60kg 50-55kg in the real world making it heavy and fairly underpowered... Good for XC flying with around 2.5-3 LPH depending on wing loading.. If your going to buy one make sure you go and try it on for size due to the weight add 10 litres fuel and a reserve your looking at 45kg... Also make sure it has had a good service and has been looked after as they do tend to have running issues if left for long periods of time. Also make sure it has all the upgrades
