miniwing2
the cylinder head on a top 80 goes on both ways, but one way the cooling fins are offset,is there a reason for this,or dose it not matter .If there is a reason can someone tell me why. Neilzy
I would imagine it's gonna be extra cooling on the exhaust outlet side

cas_whitmore
Looking from front of motor ' prop end the plug is offset to the right 'so nearer the carb side by about 1/2 " would post pic but beyond me , cas '
miniwing2
Yea looking at it,its either central or offset the carb side.i now seem to think as Neilzy says it could be to do with cooling the exhaust side or to keep the head away from none universal heat.coming off the exhaust, just a guess Mmm
ask21
Well: it should be imposible to mount on "reverse". There is a pin in it and one only hole to fit in on the cylinder if i am not wrong. I rebuilt it 2 times and i can not remember this issue. Also it would be off-set if placed not the conventional way.
