scotty c
Has anyone had an issue with the Blackhawk 125 exhaust silencer 'breaking off'? I was told by Mike at Blackhawk that my prop hub might be damaged causing a wobble in the prop which will cause a bad vibration in the silencer....... I have replaced the aluminum hub....but I still have the same wobble.....Has anyone else had this issue??
Dariuszk24
I don have but do you notice by hand this wobble? My some bearing are slowly give up? How old machine you have?
scotty c
Dariuszk24, the machine is two seasons old probably around 45 hours flying time on it. I can feel the centre hub move when the prop is horizontal, but not when it is vertical.
Dariuszk24
passible gearbox fault maybe only bearings,or worse bearing housing inside the box. where do you live?
scotty c
I live in the Toronto area Ontario Canada. I have been in touch with BlackHawk and they suggest the same think, perhaps the bearings. I had a bad landing in midsummer where I ended up getting 'turtled' when a wind gust caught my wing just as I touched down. Perhaps this is where the problems stated....but it wasn't apparent right away. I assume the bearings may have become more worn as a I flew more and more....
