  1. I'm sure... That if everyone thinks about it without all the bullshit ...

If your driving down a road in your shiny new car and a prop explodes from a paramotor above and goes through your windscreen or worse....

Whether the pilot has 10 hours or a thousand hours experience, you would feel better knowing that there is a policy that you can claim on...

So bhpa trained or otherwise -- all pilots should have third party insurance as a bare minimum

  2. now up for sale fellas....PM me your email address for pics as i cant figure out how to upload them here!

Parajet Thor 200 EVO Electric Start Custom!! ( still under warranty )

To buy this machine to day would set you back around 6300 ( if you could buy one )

macro chassis purchased bare alloy then sent to machine polishers, prior to sending back to PJ for assembly

    Anodising orange to frame parts

Thor 200 ELECTRIC and PULL start - amazing - worth the 1kg extra weight over standard,

Engine has run less than 25 hours, has been fitted with the initial base gasket mod, since then i upgraded the exhaust with the evo version ( slightly bigger diameter ) and i have now just purchased the EVO head and cooling upgrade which i will fit prior to sale in addition to a gear oil and general service.

From virtually new this has been fitted with a supa tuna and has been very closely monitored and tuned to the optimum in terms of performance and engine temperature safety, its never been over heated - it runs faultlessly on the walbro carb fitted.

The harness is the latest apco light with removable side pockets

as you can see, the condition is dare i say almost as new?

looking for around £4500 - May deal with a Golf GT TDI if you have one knocking about. i have a separate spares package that may be available by negotiation also

Apart from the parajet remaining warranty ( about 2 months ) i am happy to help out as much as i can after that point, which is worth noting - im known quite well on here and paramotoring is a small community of which i am part of.

  3. Completely regardless of your opinions on the BHPA

    I attended the BHPA revision lecture prior to taking my pilot power exam yesterday;

Spoken by Michel carnet - a very respected pilot , the lecture provides a very informative aspect to all of the points in the syllabus

The lecture was clear, informative, not In the slightest bit yawn inducing and personally I think all new pilots would benefit from attending one regardless of whether or not they are doing the exam or not ...

Would I be as controversial as saying that all new pilots should attend one ??

Yes I would --- I know plenty of self taught pilots - good pilots - that might learn something that could be the difference between a good flight and a disaster

I've been flying 6 years now .. But that was £35 very well spent .

Many thanks to Michel carnet for giving up what was a good flying day and giving an excellent lecture

Ps -- those rich tea biscuits were dam fine !

  4. A slightly different perspective and not strictly on topic...

Having owned a zenith Thor 200, and most of the parajet volution macro engine options :

The zenith chassis is very similar in weight to the macro chassis ( I weighed them )

With the same engine mounted - Thor 200. The zenith felt a lot lighter due to how it sits on your back - higher although weight wise it was v similar.

I would have a zenith tomorrow if it suited my storage and transport - but it doesn't so I went back to the macro.

And I did find assembly of the zenith a bit slow.

Never flown a bailey chassis so can't comment on how it feels

If you are new to the sport though - it's worth looking at how much new parts are for the chassis -- and what's likely to bust if you deck it !

My point being - small differences in weight can be exaggerated by how it sits while in the ground ..go and try them at morgys

  5. I started out on a synth 34 and loved it, but they are a big bugger in 34 ! Nil wind launches are challenging to say the least!

If a 31 would have you at the top of its weight range I'd be going 31...

Friend has one for sale offers around £1000. Orange / white
