  1. Wow Taken off from your own back garden, Now thats the way to do it. They must of had a great flight going all the way to warwick. Thanks for letting me know how they where.
  2. Who would be believe that a machine with that price tag could be built in only 4minutes 16 seconds, Amazing. Actually it is quite a nice video that illustrates workman ship and precission. Obviously aimed at exsisting pilot demographic rather than atracting new pilots.
  3. Hi Simon I actually had the chance to go flying on friday and decided to adjust the harness again before going airbourn. A quick guestimate on settings and a brief hang test. Then for the test in a nill wind forward. All went well. Climb out good, torque good, even managed to get in to the notoriously bad old standard rad harness with ease. In flight the climb rate was better aswell. Thank you for your help, I am sure that i can close this message board of now. Problem Solved Gav
  4. Hi Guys Malcs Unfortunatly I have no idea what N/S A/F means. I hope that it is not flying related and you have just expressed your extensive knowledge of personal ads!! (I don't know if thats a good thing). Please enlighten me v23nb Andrew Shepard hey. I see that he is a bit of a competion man. When he is back in may i will try to contact him. On Friday whilst flying around aylesbury I also flew with someone on an Action GT with a silver framed paramotor that looked like a pap cage possible an 1100 (Very deep small fluted). If you have any ideas that would be good, First spotted them over stone /Haddenham and flew with them for a few minutes towards hardwick/pichcott/oving area. Anyway I hope that you have all been enjoying the fine weather of last week and got in a good few hours more than me. Although the few hours i have had recently have been some of the smoothest.
  5. This is a call out for the pilot i have been seeing in the last few days around quainton and grendon underwood. Contact me i am local and always looking for other local pilots to enjoy fyling with. I am very tempted to make this like a lonley hearts ad! what the hell... hear goes Looking for local paramotor pilot for good fun and activities must be experienced with GSOH, own field and fully working equipment. got it out my system now, much better regards Gav
  6. I have done a couple of hang tests and i keep on readjusting it. The poroblrm is that i am not sure exactly when it is right, how do i know what is right. When I hang tests whilst standing, holding all the weight, the thrust line points up with a good lean back it looks about right. when the wing takes the weight and i am just hanging from the harness the thrust line looks pretty straight. Once in the chair the engine seems to hang back with the thrust line pointing approx 30 degree towards the groud although it is hard to tell. If you can give me any tips on what to look for or how to hang correctly this would be great the old paramotor bible does not really go in to much detail. thanks for your help simon regards Gavin
  7. sorry for long time to respond but been a bit busy of late. The problem seems to have developed ever since i put a new engine on. Personally i think that the engine is over reving but i am not sure. I wanted to guage other peoples responces / suggestions. although i dont feel asthough i am approaching a stall on take off the wing is behaving in a way that suggests otherwise. initial climb once air bourne is slow, very slow (whist still hanging). The most puzzeling thing is the way that these syptoms seems to clear once i am in the seat this is what makes me think it is related to bad setup. But no one or books seem to go in to much detail on setup (harness setup). If you would like to shed some light please let me know. regards Gavin
  8. Hi need some advice. The last couple of times that i have been up flying i have been experiencing a few difficulties on take off. I fly a Paravis Jazz with an old RAD paramotor RXL style solid cage. In early take off before sitting in the chair i am experiencing a lot of surging combined with slow climb rate. once in the chair all seems well (although a bit better climb would not go amiss) and i can fly about as usual. Without having spectators it is hard to identify what the problem is. I have tried to adjust the hang angle whilst standing in take of position and have been very careful to learn back to a suitable angle to make sure the thrust line is good, but it is still surging. I have always been told to use full power on my take off especially due to the little rad's thrust capabilities but i am wondering if i should try to back it off a bit? Other ideas or reason?; 1, to much thrust causing near stalls 2, engine not producing full power (it is running a little rich) 3, badly set up hang position. ( does anybody know or can demonstrate visually optimum postitioning for rad harness) on ground and in air. 4, props although not damaged are probably due for renewal please feel free to advise or suggest other ideas to help, especially if you have experienced simular problems. regards Gavin
  9. HI Another local flyer. I live in waddesdon and was working outdoors on the house all day but unfortunatly did not see you on race for life day. It is a nice place to fly, I have conntacted them previously to try to gain permission to use the manor as a possible take off site along with the massive airfield at westcott venture park but both of them refused due to their insurence peramiters, Oh well!! If you would like to meet up and go flying some time give me a bell. 07840 960 550 regards Gavin
  10. God I am getting so itchy trying to wait for good newbie weather, at least it looks like its on the way. When you talk about coombe and gliders are you talking about coombe hill by wendover. I have often thought about flying from there but am very conchious of the public and amount of gliders in the sky. How do you find it? Do you fly early to aviod public? We are still taking of from just outside Aylesbury on the A41 but it looks like that site is going to be gone to residential development in the near future. Feel free to contact me if you are going flying and fancy some company (although my wing is a bit slow compared to what you guys probably fly). 07840 960 550 regards Gavin
  11. Cheers Rob That would be great. If you have a good weather day and want to meet up you can get my email and number of my site www.cre8ivdesign.co.uk Look forward to hearing from you regards Gavin
  12. Hi Tim Nice to see another local guy. I am also in Aylesbury and a newby. If you want to pass me your details we can meet up and do some ground handeling. I currently have a spare training wing you can use, and a good secondhand wing if you are in the market for one. regards Gavin
