  1. The subject of machine weight is quite an interesting one, we go to great lengths to make our 4-stroke machines as light as they can possibly be, bearing in mind the vastly greater parts count and complication. Some years ago we took a set of scales to the Splash show at the NEC and weighed all of the machines we could find from all of the trade stands. (some rather reluctantly) The results were compiled and made very interesting reading indeed. I would welcome a similar ‘weigh in’ at this years show if some one would care to organise it. PB
  2. We are taking orders for V3 machines now Mark After extensive testing and some minor mods along the way the first batch of crankcases are being machined as we speak. Regards Paul Bailey
  3. Not sure if Ads are permitted on here (I apologise if not) but we have an ex demo Bailey175 1.3 alloy for sale at £3850.00 (£1000 off list price) immaculate condition with zero houred engine. Being sold to make way for the V3-180 demo machine. Regards Paul Bailey
  4. The Solo 210 is well known to run on when hot. It has been widely suggested that the cause is excessive carbon build-up, but we found it occurring even on fairly new engines and thus decided it was more likely to be the plug heat range slightly too hot for that particular day/temp/pressure. Back in the dark ages! when we used the engine we would recommend that customers open the throttle while pressing the stop button, that usually works. PB
  5. NO!.... The reason being that the only one currently in existance is on our development chassis, Once a design is finished and tested it takes quite a while to manufacture jigs, tooling etc in order to produce in any quantity. We should have 2 production examples at SPLASH, see you there. PB
  6. Thanks Pete, I have been here for a while but prefer to keep a low profile. PB
  7. Yes, the V3 engine will be available to them when in production. PB
  8. Dear All, Just a quick reminder that we will be attending the SPLASH 2008 exhibition at the Birmingham N.E.C. on 29th/30th November, so please come along and see us on stand No. 38 to check out our 2009 range of paramotors and trikes. We will have on display two new products: - NEW 4 STROKE ENGINE Introducing the BAILEY-V3-180 An evolution of our very successful Bailey4Stroke 150/175 engine. A completely new design incorporating many new features, it is lighter, more compact and more powerful than its predecessor and will be available in manual or electric start. This exiting new engine is due for full production release early 2009. NEW ACTIVE CHASSIS After extensive prototyping and testing we have finally perfected our long awaited active chassis. This innovative new system allows extreme weightshift manoeuvrability while maintaining constant motor pitch, it is also lockable for novice pilots. See you all at the show. Regards THE BAILEYAVIATION TEAM
  9. Ian You would be welcome to come over to Cambridge and test fly a Bailey 175, we have also just squeezed a bit more fuel economy out of it with a revised reduction ratio (as tested at the worlds in China) Regards Paul Bailey
