  1. A bit of PTFE tape on the thread seems to have done the trick, I also took the funnber seal out and turned it round. Now I don't get petrol dripping in the car when I lay it down.
  2. Thanks for the suggestions, i'll give it a go. I wasn't sure if it was meant to have a seal or not. Does anybody else have a seperate seal in the cap?
  3. My top 80 fuel cap does not seem to seal properly, so when I lay it down to put it in the car it sometimes leaks and I get a small amount of petrol in the car. Should it seal properly, I assume it should. If so should it have a rubber seal seal. If I tighten it to tight the thread jumps, so i can't tighten it further. Does anybody else have the same problem??? Any advice. I did make a rubber seal, but the petrol seems not to like the rubber.
