Hi, can anyone help? I've recently put an EGT on my Thor 200 to help with tuning and keep a better eye on temps. From what I can see, i should be sitting around 600 degrees. It is sitting about 2 inches from the exhaust outlet, just before it goes round the bend.
I've just replaced my old card (walbro) for a new one as it wasn't holding pressure. My mate checked the new one and all is fine. I'm struggling still to get it to run sweet but just wanted to know what your experience of EGT is please and reasons as to why I should be reaching 800+ degrees. My CHT reads normal at about 180 - 200.
Paramotors - they're great when they are working!

Hi, I'm based near Perth. There are a few guys up your way but not instructors. Feel free to give me a shout on Zero 7887 755 5 Seven 6 if you want a chat about options.

Hi Jim, there are a few of us that fly out of Perth / Dunning / Stirling. Give us a shout on the Paramotor Scotland Facebook group.
I'll drop you a text anyway, happy to help you up for the first few Scottish solos.

I'm not a fan of clubs, I just text my mates and decide where to fly tomorrow.
I'm in Perth and we have flying sites over a pretty large area now so if anyone want to join me / us. Give me a shout! Stuart at suth.net

That was a really bumpy flight with the last of the Spring thermals dying down by the time I took the photo. Turned out nice. River Tay and Perth in the background.

Scary, windsock was pointing up when you flew over it! Glad you didn't hit the deck!

Sorry, only just seen this. Assume you have done it now as we had great weather.
I've done Ben Lomond, nice trip up from Drymen. There is a decent field near Drymen that is popular for PPG.
Watch out on a lap of Loch Lomond, very few land out options north of Ben Lomond and on the West side of the Loch.

Hiya, trikes get into a whole bunch more licensing issues as it is not "foot launched". I know a guy who is 71 and still foot launches no problem. Once you have the knack, it isn't difficult.

Cheers Rob, I was only going to replace the black ones as they sag and look crap. I don't have a vibration issue as the Thor200 is very smooth anyway.

I see they have yellow ones now for Polini. Thanks

The black ones currently on don't inspire me with lots of confidence. Very droopy, especially the top two. And I've already replace one that looked very ropey.

Hi, I'm considering a set of the Viking motor mounts for my Thor 200 (Zenith). From the VikingPPG website they cost $104 inc postage.
Anyone in the Uk dealing in these?
Cheers

Hiya, I travel to Berwick a fair bit so would be happy to fly with you if you like. I know someone who flys around there sometimes but he is usually up with work. Give me a shout on my email stuart at suth.net and we can hopefully hook up. You travel much? I keep meaning to fly the Borders more often.
