  1. Apologies Frank, I should have read your post more carefully. Christian
  2. Hi All There's a French paramotor forum at the address below. It's well used and there are over 6300 memebers. It might be useful for people planning a flying holiday in France. There are a few members of this forum who are based in France and might be cajoled into making a post on a non French speaker's behalf ...........and there's always google translate. www.forumparamoteur.fr Christian
  3. Hi Frank It might be worth trying the Dutch forum at www.paramotorforum.nl Best of luck. Christian
  4. I would be grateful of some opinions from those more experienced than me. I am a beginner and I am about to purchase some gear. I am 85 Kgs & 1.7m I have narrowed it down to the Polini engine on either the Bailey, the Fresh Breeze or the Kobra. They all appear to be of similar quality and are all similar prices. So what are the pros & cons of each manufacturer? My criteria are as follows: Fight geometry Robustness After sales service Comfort Ease of breakdown Thanks
  5. Thanks everybody for all your suggestions. Christian
  6. Can anybody make any recommendation for boots? I have damaged my ankle and need some that give good support. I have heard of Hanwags, but are there any others that I should consider? Thanks, Christian
  7. Despite checking the Remember Password I am never automatically logged on with the forum. I have allowed Remember Passwords in Mozilla, but I note that there is no entry or password within Saved Passwords on the Security tab of Options I am running Mozilla 3.6.13 on Windows XP Any ideas? Thanks, Christian
  8. Hi Alan, how's it going? I think that's the point. Safety is about attitude rather than regulations and peer pressure is probably better at nurturing a safety conscious attitude than any amount of regulations. Christian
  9. Food for thought I have a French License. In the back of the French book that I used for the theory exam it states that despite the fact that Paramotoring in France is regulated they still have twice the accidents that occur in unregulated GB & USA. Don't ever let a bureaucrat tell you that regulation will make anything any safer. Christian
  10. Hi Does anybody have any recommendations for training books? I am looking for something covering everything that a new student would need..........air law, meteorology etc, etc Thanks, Christian
  11. Hi All I am a newbie and I am thinking about buying a 2nd hand Fresh Breeze with a Silex wing. My only concern is the ‘J’ bar system. Does anybody out there have any experience of them, either good or bad? Thanks, Christian
