Hi Barry, we are a group of about 12 that fly from Frankby, it will have been myself or someone from

our group you will have seen. Grass on field is a bit long at the moment but is due to be cut this

week. We also fly from a field nr Formby and cover the Crosby beach area.

No, when engine was new and spitting out oil i wouldn't use the engine to

pull wing up, only rev up once wing was above me.

Now engine is run in i can do power launches without fear of oil on the wing.

Mine was exactly the same when new, didn't do any adjustments just stuck

with it. Now, after about 20hrs it' running fine and no oil spatters.

Hi, probably our little group you saw flying near Ormskirk/Kirkby.

Will be flying from Formby area when weather picks up if u'r

interested, good friendly bunch of lads with plenty of info.

Always switch engine off, earlier the better, unless u want to touch and go,

Land slightly faster than normal so u need a steadier flare, and as u'r

flaring u will get a feel of which toggle u need to staighten up the landing

before the deep stall for landing. (years of skydiving)

Few of us North West flyers have got Mazda Bongo's with a bak-rak.

4x4, bed, cooker, beer fridge, ect.

Can transport motor inside or on bak-rak, when parked up put motor

on back, wing ect in lift up roof and u'v got ur home comforts.

Have always used Motul 800 since i started, have never had any problems.

But have always mixed 50:1, why do you mix 70:1? is it due to Quality of oil

or does your engine recommend 70:1.
