dan_p Posted August 24, 2009 Share Posted August 24, 2009 I met up with Phil on Saturday and had a nice flight from Bromsgrove. Set off around mid morning and flew to Ombersley and back (got dusted by Phil though, he was way ahead of me. I am a bit light on the wing I am trying out). It was starting to get thermic part way through the flight and some good cloud starting to build. Not quite enough to stay up on but a flew bleeps with the engine off. Got way above the clouds and saw some amazing views, almost got the Glory too, had my shadow on the cloud but the halo wasn't quite fully formed. got a bit rough descending back through base but nothing too bad, a few jolts are nice to remind you to fly the wing. Only wish I'd have climbed a bit more and got through the clouds as I was being chucked about a fair bit!
